Fees & Payment Information
Insurance & Reimbursement
I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. However, many PPO plans reimburse part of the cost. If you want to use your out-of-network benefits, ask your insurance:
Do you reimburse for out-of-network psychotherapy?
What percentage is covered?
What is my deductible?
How do I submit a claim?
If reimbursement is available, I can provide a monthly superbill. Apps like Reimbursify or Mentaya can simplify the process.
Sliding Scale & Low-Cost Therapy Options
A small number of reduced-fee slots are available based on financial need. I also offer affordable sessions through Open Path Collective, for adults, teens, and couples. If cost is a concern, mention this during your free consultation and we can explore options.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
No. Sessions are offered exclusively through secure telehealth for accessibility and flexibility.
-
Before your session, please make sure you have:
a private, quiet space where you feel comfortable speaking openly
a reliable internet connection
a device with a camera and microphone (phone, tablet, or computer)
You’re welcome to keep your camera on or off, whatever feels most comfortable for you. We can talk about preferences at any point.
I recommend logging into SimplePractice a few minutes early to make sure everything is working. Headphones can be helpful for privacy but aren’t required.
You don’t need to prepare anything specific to “do therapy right.” You can bring thoughts, questions, or concerns—or simply show up, and we’ll take it from there together.
-
Payment is processed through SimplePractice. Sessions are charged after the session using the payment method on file.
I accept credit and debit cards. If your insurance or benefits provide a separate card (such as an HSA/FSA or reimbursement card), I can split charges between two cards upon request.
If you have questions about payment or options, feel free to ask during a consultation or reach out directly.
-
Your information is protected under Texas law and HIPAA. Exceptions apply if someone is at immediate risk of harm or when required by law. We’ll review this fully during your intake session.
-
If you need to cancel or reschedule, I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice. Sessions canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice are charged the full session fee.
If you arrive late, we’ll still use the remaining time, and the session will end at the scheduled time. The full session fee applies.
Missed sessions (no-shows) are also charged the full session fee.
I understand that unexpected situations come up. If something urgent happens, please reach out as soon as possible. Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
